01Our Commitment to Accessibility
Diasparx strives to ensure that its services are accessible to people with disabilities. We have invested significant time and resources to help ensure our website is easier to use and more accessible for people with disabilities, guided by the belief that every person has the right to live — and to shop — with dignity, equality, comfort and independence.
Accessibility is treated as an ongoing part of how we design, build and maintain the Diasparx experience, both online and in our boutiques, rather than a one-time project.
02Standards & Conformance
Diasparx aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the internationally recognized benchmark for digital accessibility. Where applicable to our business, we also align our practices with the standards and expectations set out by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III and, where relevant, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
These standards guide decisions across our website, product photography, checkout experience and customer service touchpoints.
03Accessibility Features of Our Website
Diasparx makes available an accessibility menu — the Diasparx Accessibility Widget — powered by a dedicated accessibility server. This software helps improve our site's compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and gives visitors quick access to display and navigation adjustments.
Enabling the Accessibility Menu
The accessibility menu can be enabled by clicking the accessibility icon that appears in the corner of the page. After triggering the menu, please allow a moment for it to load in its entirety before making your selections.
a. Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements — links, buttons, form fields and menus — are reachable and operable using only a keyboard, in a logical and predictable order.
b. Screen Reader Compatibility
Our pages are built with semantic HTML, descriptive ARIA labels and clear landmark regions so that screen reader users can understand and navigate the structure of every page.
c. Visible Focus Indicators
Every focusable element displays a clear, high-contrast focus outline so keyboard users always know where they are on the page.
d. Alt Text on Meaningful Images
Product photography, editorial imagery and other meaningful visuals include descriptive alternative text; purely decorative graphics are marked so they are skipped by assistive technology.
e. Sufficient Color Contrast
Text and interface elements are designed to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios — at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and interface components — against their backgrounds.
f. Resizable Text
Our layouts remain functional and legible when text is resized up to 200% using standard browser zoom, without loss of content or functionality.
g. Captions & Transcripts
Where video or audio content is published, we work to provide captions and, where appropriate, transcripts so the content is accessible to visitors who are deaf, hard of hearing, or who prefer to read.
h. Reduced Motion Support
Animated transitions and scroll effects respect your operating system's "reduce motion" preference, presenting a calmer, static experience when that setting is enabled.
04Accessibility in Our Physical Stores
Our commitment to accessibility extends beyond the screen. Diasparx boutiques are designed with the following in mind, availability varying by location:
a. Wheelchair Access & Accessible Entrances
Where feasible, our boutiques provide step-free, wheelchair-accessible entrances and clear circulation paths within the showroom.
b. Accessible Restrooms
Accessible restroom facilities are available at select locations; please ask a member of staff for the nearest option.
c. Service Animal Policy
Trained service animals are always welcome in our boutiques in accordance with applicable law.
d. Accessible Parking
Where our locations offer dedicated parking, accessible parking spaces are provided close to the entrance.
e. Assistance Upon Request
Our client advisors are happy to provide additional assistance — including reading product details aloud, retrieving pieces for closer viewing, or guiding you through the boutique — simply ask any team member.
05Assistive Technologies We Support
We design and test the Diasparx experience with common assistive technologies in mind, including:
- Screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver and TalkBack
- Voice recognition and dictation software
- Keyboard-only navigation, without reliance on a mouse or touch input
- Browser and operating-system zoom and magnification tools
06Ongoing Efforts & Continuous Improvement
Diasparx continues its efforts to constantly improve the accessibility of its site and services, in the belief that it is our collective moral obligation to allow seamless, accessible and unhindered use for those of us with disabilities.
In an ongoing effort to continually improve and remediate accessibility issues, we regularly scan our site, conduct periodic manual and automated audits, invite feedback from real users of assistive technology, and provide accessibility training to our design and development teams.
07Known Limitations & Areas Under Improvement
Despite our efforts to make all pages and content on Diasparx fully accessible, some content may not yet be fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be the result of not having found or identified the most appropriate technological solution, or content originating from a third party.
08Third-Party Content
Certain areas of our website may include content, widgets or tools provided by third parties — including payment processors, shipping and delivery tools, embedded maps, and social media feeds. These third-party elements may operate under their own accessibility standards and practices, which are outside of our direct control. Where possible, we choose partners who share our commitment to accessibility.
09Alternative Formats & Assistance Requests
If you require product information, order receipts, invoices, or other documentation in an alternative format — such as large print, plain text, or read aloud over the phone — please contact our Accessibility team and we will do our best to accommodate your request promptly.
10Feedback & Contact
If you are experiencing difficulty with any content on the Diasparx website, our accessibility widget, or any of our services — or if you require assistance with any part of our site or software — please contact us during normal business hours and we will be happy to assist.
We aim to respond within 2 business days.
Complaint & Escalation Process
If you feel your accessibility concern has not been adequately addressed, please reply to our response requesting escalation. Your request will be reviewed by a senior member of our Customer Care team, who will follow up directly with next steps.
